                                    Captain’s Golf Tour – 2020

A Captain of the Old Bradfiedian Golfing Society is appointed for a 2 year term, during his second year, he takes on the responsibility of organising a tour, please see below for details for the tour.

The Captain's tour will be between Thursday 4th till Sunday 7th June 2020 on Scotland’s Golf Coast, which is located only 30 minutes by train, from Edinburgh, in the scenic county of East Lothian. There are 21 Golf Courses to choose from here, including Open Championship venue Muirfield, but sadly we will not be playing there. However, the courses I have chosen, may be slightly less well known, but they will be equally as enjoyable and challenging......
Thursday                                Kilspindie (first tee time 15.00). This will allow everyone to arrive in plenty of time, as I assume most people will be travelling up on Thursday
Friday Luffness New (first tee time 10.00)
Saturday Gullane No.2 (first tee time 12.32)
Sunday Gullane No.3 (first tee time 10.45)

Unfortunately, I have had to drop Dunbar as I was unable to obtain a sensible tee time either for Saturday or Sunday.

The cost for the golf will be £312
I have looked at travel arrangements. Flights with BA and Easyjet are usually around £150, including one bag checked into the hold. Alternatively, you can take a train to Edinburgh and I understand a return ticket is normally around £100 to £150.
I have booked a number of rooms at The Open Arms in Direlton. The room rate is £90 per person per night for twin/ double rooms and £115 per person per night for single occupancy.
Some of you may not be able to commit to all four days, so if you are only able to make part of the tour, please advise which days would work for you.
I hope you will all find this tour interesting, challenging but most importantly enjoyable. As with previous tours wives and partners are more than welcome, whether they are golfers or non-golfers. There is plenty for non-golfers to do, especially with Edinburgh only approximately 30 minutes away by train.

Should any of you have any queries then please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely
